Wednesday, March 20, 2013 - Chardonnayesque darker than average yellow color. Quite a sour, sharp nose of yellow apple, grapefruit, spices and salty minerality. Good weight and richness on the palate with a strong acidic backbone that leads to completely dry, savoury and mouthwatering finish. Very primary and actually quite simple flavorwise, echoing the nose: ripe yellow apple, sour citrus and racy minerality. Very clean, crisp and focused. Still, I'm not totally convinced. Everything here screams 'well done', but aromatically this is very tight, there's not much depth. A solid wine, gonna have to check again tomorrow to see if there's any development.
Day2: Nah, nothing notable here. The wine has fleshed out a bit, has now more "airy" kind of a feel. I sense some heat on the finish which obviously decreases the refreshment factor. A bit chalkier than yesterday, which is nice, but otherwise not better or worse.
