Monday, February 25, 2013 - There's always a place in my cellar for a wine that tastes good, even if it isn't representative of its varietal. This is very big and fruity, and not all that "pinot-y," but everyone enjoyed it while we watched the academy awards. We started with a big bottle of Kosta Browne, and honestly anything much lighter would have seemed thin by comparison. Lots of red berry flavor on the palate, along with a hint of cola and some vanillin-oak flavors. Not real complex, and definitely big for a pinot, but tasty and enjoyable.
