Dark purple colour. The nose is open and slightly toasty with quite a lot of berries and a slight mintiness. Youthful. On the palate it's rich and lush but with enough acidity to save it from being flabby. Berries here as well. Longish aftertaste.

    We only hold one btl, and we decided it to go best some time after 2020. Of corse, like so many times before, we may be mistaken. Our comfort is that wines don't fall of a cloff when they are old, they just slowly fade away and are (usually) quite enjoyable a long way into senility.
    If you had only one more btl of this, when would you goferit?

    8/5/2013 3:19:00 AM - Further 5 to 8 yrs of age might be a bit too much, in my opinion. If I had just one bottle I'd probably hold on to it, say, three years or so. Having said that I must admit that I do not have that much experience with aging Ribera del Duero wines so don't put too much weight on this...
