Sunday, January 16, 2011 - Menthol, leather and just a hint of brett on the nose. Kind of tight and closed on the palate at first, but as it warmed up and opened up, started to show lots of nice black fruit, leather, tobacco and rich earth. Still has some tannins, but they are nicely integrated. It is shedding most of its baby fat and is starting to show some secondary characteristics. One of my favorite Pauillacs that tends to fly a little under the radar.
