The sandy lava like nose is surrounded by a thick velvety veil of mature red fruits. Adding to this is thyme and sage. The palate is perfectly balanced and will integrate with some more time in the cellar. Compared to the 09 Guardiola, the 010 reveals ample compared to somewhat restrained fruit. It is also a little bit more dense and compact. Still, this wine is a perfect acquaintance for any Pinot Noir lover. She or he would certainly be surprised.
