Friday, June 10, 2016 - Friday Dinner at Friends' House (Pok Fu Lam, Hong Kong): Popped and poured to accompany a course of cheese. Opaque jeweled ruby colour. Nose is reticent - melted caramel and warm road tar. Palate is big, fruity red plum and black plum (mainly the sklns) and a quite tannic finish. Some resonance but in a much too young and headachy way. I think this will always be a too-extracted wine for me.....but maybe revisit in 12 years' time.
