Saturday, November 24, 2012 - It's always unfair when you taste an entry level wine alongside its big brothers. It always tastes thin and lacking in concentration. This is no different. It's a reasonable Barossa shiraz with the usual black fruit characteristic. Being a 2011 red from SA it does have the characteristic black pepper high notes, but much more subtle and complimentory than many of its peers. Competition at this pricepoint is extremely strong. Personally, I would look elsewhere.
