Our initial impression on the nose was rotting fruit and not in a pleasant way the color was good and the wine appeared to have good legs. On the palate the wine had some woodsy bitterness that did dissipate somewhat after awhile and some candied orange came forward. We drank the wine over several hours and most of the flavors eventually faded leaving a very bland taste. My feeling is the wine is past its maturity and should be drank now. Not a bad wine if you can get over the initial scents.
