Monday, September 27, 2010 - This was a great California Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine has aged wonderfully well. Very rich nose, fruit, perhaps even a bit of mint or sweet herb as well. In the mouth, very full, even rich, classic varietal taste of dark fruit, vanilla (oak), but not too much, and good balance. Really a classic wine, definitely WOTN vs some very fine wines. We did not decant, and in fact, on day two, we felt it a little flabby--didn't hold up as well as the companion bordeaux (2000s).
