Monday, April 16, 2012 - Wonderful wine. Had it with a 97 Insignia, two 100 point Bordeaux (Haut Brion and Margaux), a Dominus and Colgin. More than held its own. Was very well balanced, great nose with intense fruit. Noticeably younger than the 97 and obviously the Bordeaux. But, not hot, well balanced and wonderful flavor profile of dark fruit, a little vanilla and the traditional (for us) bitter chocolate/mocha/coffee profile of Insignia. Great wine.
