Tuesday, June 21, 2016 - Opened a half bottle tonight with our anniversary dinner (also opened a half bottle of 2003 Chateau Margaux). I can't add much to my last note on this wine (see 2/21/16 note). Compared to the Margaux, it is really apples and oranges: different wine styles entirely. Tonight, The Margaux was the better wine with better delineation of fruit, complexity, and harmony. Another night, I might have gone with the more opulent, fruit-forward style and dark fruit profile in this Insignia.
