Sunday, February 8, 2009 - Tasted against 2001 Caymus Special Selection and 2004 Dominus. Decanted. Drank over 3 hours with the other bottles.
Color: Wonderful deep purple red to the rim. Dense
Cassis, blackberry, cherry fruit with toasty but lightly done oak. Nice acidity and very fine integrated (though still noticeable) tannins. Very elegant with a smooth, long finish. Probably the smoothest and best balanced of the group that night.
