Saturday, March 21, 2015 - Six months since we last tasted this NV wine, at time of purchase. The evolution was stunning. But first, a disclaimer: you must like apple pie. The nose was pure apple pie with cloves and nutmeg. When we tasted the wine it exploded with flavors of Granny Smith apples, apple pie, spices and a touch of smoke. The wine was sweet as expected but its great attribute is that it retained a level of acidity that kept it well balanced. No flabbiness for this wine. Delicious. Definitely worth buying and holding.
