Thursday, April 18, 2013 - The color is ruby and deeply hued but translucent. The aromas are blackberry and strawberry, vanilla, red licorice, and tary earthy smells. The taste is remarkable for the price. The tastes are blackberry, cherry, tar, spice, tea, and licorice. The wine is light bodied with dusty tannins, and nice acidity. There is some heat on the shortish finish.
