Sunday, February 22, 2015 - CT shows 1 year past end age. Cork top moldy and could not extract with the WE auto cork extractor. Infiltrated almost to the top but got the cork out with hand held corkscrew. Bricking evident in rim. Fruit muted but wine is still good and did not sour. Nose also muted and wine is soft and evident past prime.
This wine was sleeping! Now about a good hour in the Grenache profile has emerged. Bright and fruity. This wine is not done. If you have one don't give up on it but give it a good 1-2 hours to come out to play. Legs run fast firts wave, then slow down considerably. It's got about 3-5 years left if the cork holds up. I would enjoy it now. Interesting that most users report issue with the cork. Please please give this wine some time to open up and you will not be disappointed.
