Friday, June 13, 2014 - Perfection! The bottle was in immaculate condition (I had purchased it on release in 1995), and the cork was pristine. The wine was deeply coloured, with an incredible nose of sweet fruits and cedar. On the palate there were layers of voluptuous dark fruit sensations, sweet tannins and perfectly balancing acidity. The finish was extraordinarily long. Wine doesn't get better than this IMHO. Drink now or hold for up to 5 years, but it's so gorgeous now that there is no need to wait.
