Friday, October 31, 2014 - Semi opaque purple/crimson to the rim....poured through a vinturi. Some dark fruit on the nose yet more reserved on the palate with hints of spice and and an oakey sharp finish. The wine feels light and watery. Not a lush merlot. May be past it's prime but I ha e nothing to judge it against. Mediocre at best.

I personally think that the wine scoring system needs to change as 90 point wines are so commonplace now and at pretty cheap price points. You rarely see poorly Madeleine anymore.
