Wednesday, November 19, 2014 - With Val and her friends on a weeknight dinner... last wine of the evening, pulled on impulse. Splash decanted and drank over an hour.

Dark purple color. Rich nose of blackcurrants, floral notes, cedar - nose jumps out of the glass. Blueberry, cassis, cedar, vanilla oak, cardamon on the palate. Oak is integrating, dusty Rutherford taste. This wine is still young, tannins starting to integrate but still gritty.

Very nice wine - especially at this price. Classic Calif Cab, should drink at this level for 5+ years. Will be interesting to see the arc on this.
