Sunday, April 28, 2013 - The color is remarkable in clarity and brilliance. It is ruby and dense and not entirely opaque with some hints at purple violet. The smells are spice, pepper, vanilla, tar, and wet stone. The tastes are dark blueberry, vanilla, wet stone, dark cherry, hoisin, and hint of olive. The tannins are satin like and the finish is long. This wine is powerful and elegant.
