Sunday, July 21, 2013 - Part of a tasting of less expensive Pinot Noir's that included the Ponzi Tavola 2010 (the most expensive of the group and clear preference), A to Z 2011, and Thomas Henry Sonoma 2011. This held its own in the group. While generally a richer style particularly when compared to the two Oregon wines, the Acacia did not suffer from the flabbiness of the Thomas Henry and was a more balanced effort. Not as breezy as the Oregon wines, but accessible in a drink now style that has it place. A bit of a sour cherry pie nose, light hints of orange, and moss. Could stand a touch more acidity.
