Sunday, October 26, 2008 - Enjoyed 2 bottles last night with Kim and good friends at a dinner party at our house. Very good, well balanced, smooth and somewhat muted elegant and complex Sonoma cab, drinking very prime right now but has at least 5-10 years more cellaring potential left. Very dark purple, good mouth feel, pleasant 30 - 45 second aftertaste. Nose surprisingly floral with hints of vanilla and muted oak. Primary flavors include balanced and not overpowering oak, terroir, tar, cassis and blueberry with hints of vanilla, smoke and black pepper developing on palate as wine opened up in glass. Too expensive to be a good QPR but very good, drinking very well and highly recommend this.
