Tuesday, April 28, 2015 - PopnPour, tasted over 3 hrs and Day 2
-semi-opaque med dark red
-moderately expressive slightly confected ripe black cherry, touch of black pepper
-med/med+ acidity with med weight but sappy earthy mid-palate ripe black cherry picking up some leafy/earthy elements, med/med+ chalky tannins give substantial grip, moderately long finish has some noticeable but not intrusive oak; still going strong on Day 2 with little change
-stylistically more Arnot-Roberts than an Italian sangiovese: aromatic on a relatively lighter frame with wispy red fruits earth and tannic structure; lovely and seems to be in early maturity
