2010 Collovray & Terrier St. Véran

Community Tasting Note

89 Points

Thursday, February 7, 2013 - I liked it best near cellar temp. Light gold and slow legs. A profound, New World-esque nose with buttery acetyl, oak, and honeycomb that softens with air and then includes some lanolin, coconut, and biscuit. Where this changes geography is on the palate. Cool, smooth, low alcohol, and rounded. The foundation of stone and generous acidity pull the wine's direction toward the Golden Slope and away from the Golden State. Long finish holds a nice dry tack and I feel like this could be made into a nice bubbly. Bouquet faded quite a bit overnight. 4+11+16+8 = 89
