Sunday, May 10, 2015 - Same notes as 2-6-14, less essentially:
Have never had a bad or even mediocre D'Arenberg wine and this is no exception. This is a full-bodied, bowl of inky black fruit red wine that would pair with spicy or grilled fare. Let it breathe and decanted and it opened up nicely. D'Arenberg reds are best not drunk young, they are concentrated/fully-extracted wines and even the cheaper ones will benefit from a year or two aging. This one is drinking well just now, but worth letting breathe a bit.
