2010 Torrin The Banshee

Community Tasting Note

96 Points

Sunday, March 2, 2014 - Ah yes... Not sure why my dumb a$$ continues to insist on popping these babies and decant for only four hours or so. This wine gained three points over night! Came together so nicely on the second night. Seamless, unctuous, and the texture we've come to love from Torrin wines. Nose of dark berries sprinkled with coffee grounds and cocoa. On the palate there are similar notes which lead to savory notes of burnt end BBQ, beef jous, and smoked herbs. This is a deep dark wine which is fantastic if you enjoy these wines. The kicker is the lightness and bright acidity it maintains while the finish just keeps persisting.

IMHO if you open this any time in the near future, decant for the better part of a day.
