Friday, December 12, 2014 - This vintage of La Tache is more exotic than the 2000 vintage we drank at the same tasting. The tea notes are more prominent, and one gets the sense that the 2004 needs quite a bit more time to unfold. I enjoyed it, but it seems unfortunate to be drinking this wine at this stage. Having been privileged to drink the 2004 vintage several times, this is a consistent impression. Drink the 2004 Premier Crus from Vosne Romanee and let the big wines sleep...
