Saturday, February 23, 2013 - PNP. This was screaming with acidity when opened so passed thru vinturi. This softened it. Color garnet w ruby edges. Nose shows bright red cherry and strawberry fruit. Swishing shows substantial structure that is mostly acid with tight cherry fruit and fine tannins. Sipping allows the fruit to shine through the structure with delicate cherry fruit tiptoeing thru the acid, medium to light palate weight with smooth and soft finish. This is definitely more old world style and very little oak influence which I find refreshing. I expect that this will age gracefully for years. Looking forward to finding out!
