Saturday, December 1, 2012 - Plum and caramel on the nose. With a rounded, silky texture and flavors of plum, red currant and chocolate, this wine has an incredibly long finish. The merlot contributes a fruity softness that meshes nicely with the cabernet in the blend. This bottle followed a 2009 bottle of Va Piano Bruno's Blend which I consider to be a nice wine at a great price. The "Trutina" was in a league beyond the Bruno's Blend and offers an incredible value.
