Community Tasting Note

Deep red colour with musk or other animalistic notes and cheese on the nose. There were also some underlying cherry and wood (close to pencil shavings) notes on the nose as well.

2 days later there was still an underdeveloped fruit core under the acidity and a peppery finish. It still seems like this wine was holding something back. I would personally wait a few more years to see how this fruit core develops. J-didn't like it (too earthy on the initial taste and laking a finish).

This wine remided me of the Bordeaux 2006 En-Primeur tasting I attended last year where I realised that I needed to be an experienced taster to recognise what was lying underneath those samples. Perhaps the wine is going through a "dumb phase" at the moment
