Monday, January 14, 2013 - (13.9%) Nicely balanced from the get go. This one is warm, earthy and spiced with bright red fruits and a nice, uplifting touch of vanilla (cola) sweetness on the finish. Straight-forward and enjoyable but with enough intrigue to keep you (interested and) coming back for more. Less fruit-forward than I’m used to from the Central Coast and I like it. At $22 this isn’t a bad choice at all and widely available to boot.

Wine Geek Notes: Fermented with native yeasts, aged 11 months in French oak (10% new), unfiltered
