Wednesday, January 16, 2013 - 2 Days in the Valley- Day 1 (Willamette Valley, OR): Nose: There is a creaminess to the nose along with tones of pears, white fruits, and citrus tones. Decent balance, but lacking some depth.
Taste: Medium bodied with medium+ acidity and a creaminess to the feel. The tones of pears, oranges, and white fruits are more on the surface.
Overall: A different Pinot Gris. Tried to be a bigger one and was a nice departure from many of the non-descript pinot gris that is out there. If this had more depth it would be much better.
