Thursday, June 25, 2015 - I'm a big fan of this wine and have followed it in several vintages. Unfortunately my drinking all of my 97s and 99s quite some time ago and my dislike of the 2000 vintage have lead to me being stuck with painfully young bottles of '02 and '04.

However I snapped a few days ago and grabbed a bottle of the 2004 off the shelf at Majestic to see how this was getting on and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't take notes at the time, but from the first whiff, you could tell that this was something special. (Nuts and smoke etc.) Over the next couple of days, this didn't really improve so I suspect that I might be drinking my bottles before I open my 2002s. Still I'm going to hold this a little longer and see how it turns out.
