Sunday, June 28, 2015 - A slightly different expression than the bottle earlier in the month. On the nose, damp dark earth, tar, black cherry, blackberry, white pepper, fresh tobacco, and cinnamon on the back with air time. Forest floor, sanded cedar and sandalwood, dry earth and light tar on the backpalate. A rich palate with a savory/sweet balance that progresses on schedule and without abrupt handoffs. Long finish with savory dark spice on the back. 1 hour decant
