Monday, September 9, 2013 - This deep ruby Pinot shows aromas and flavors of black cherries, smoke and dried herbs. Relatively heavily-extracted, round and with light tannins, it hides its 14.6% alcohol nicely but does not hide its brett (which flirts with crossing the "acceptable" barrier). The middle palate is solid and the medium-length finish is smooth. While certainly enjoyable, I would not consider this unstructured offering to be competitive with the upper echelon Central Coast Pinots. Drink now-2016.
