Saturday, March 17, 1990 - Robert Mondavi Sponsored Tasting of 3 Bordeaux and 4 Mondavi Reserve Cabernet Sauvignons. Was sweat sox on the nose and almost big body, definitely dumb and my third taste of this wine in three weeks, equally unpopular with the other 8 tasters present. My #6.

But this doesn't take anything away from this vintage of Lafite because those who know this wine (including myself) are willing to do you a favor and buy all your bottles at 500 bucks each, or trade you any vintage of Mondavi Reserve you want...Im sorry, 75 is harsh.

10/12/2014 10:03:00 PM - Based on my tasting note, you should realize it is obvious the wine was corked, equally obvious based on the same note, everyone else found the bottle corked. I have also opened the 1985 Lafite at another tasting and it was corked. About 5% of all wine is corked or tainted. I have visited Chateau Lafite Rothschild twice in my life to taste since I love their wine. So much so, that a few years back, I bought the 1870 Chateau Lafite Rothschild and enjoyed it with a friend over dinner. Finally, your offer of $500 is 50% of wine-searcher.com market value merely confirms what the rest of your comments tell me.
