Monday, November 17, 2014 - Pinot should hit you with a wonderful floral bouquet of fruit on the nose, along with a beautiful distinct taste on the palette. This was far from that pinot. This pinot was thin and disappointing. After letting it open, it never materialized with the structure and flavors that I wanted. It did have some sweeter fruit notes as well as tea notes too, but it was not the expensive delicious wine I was sold at Total Wine. This taught me not to go back there again.

12/5/2015 8:32:00 AM - Perhaps you tasted the 2010 or 2012 vintages at TW, which are more fruit forward and floral. The 2011 vintage leans heavily toward the earthy Burgundian style because of the cool vintage.
