Sunday, December 27, 2015 - Showing a very restrained style, with acids that will (surprisingly) outlive the fruit - though this is in no danger of falling off a cliff tomorrow, either. Earthy, with plenty of black dirt and minerals in the background to keep it interesting. Served with an assortment of chocolates, this was good on its own, but also tugged as if to say it needed a proper meal to show even better. Some tertiary development, with tannins mostly resolved at this point. 14,0% abv., drink this over the next 3-5 years though I doubt it's getting better from here. An excellent $40 wine, and a very poor $100 wine.

PnP, served non-blind (aeration in decanter would have been completely unnecessary)
