Thursday, July 24, 2014 - Same notes as 11/11/13, except this has reached a very approachable stage. Despite the 14.8% alcohol, everything is well-integrated and balanced, which has not been the case with many Amador County wines. This wine has a strong sense of the Zin "spice", and is plummy/jammy/juicy - yet there is an elegance to it that beats Dry Creek Zins. Just a tad more than medium-bodied, paired well with a grilled T-Bone and Anasazi beans. DRINK NOW. Really nice wine for the price.
