Wednesday, March 20, 2013 - TTTG Blind (Piemonte) (Coventry, CT): This was a night of opposite experiences, as the 1967 Rinaldi & Figli Barolo very much underperformed relative to past bottles, this Gattinara (completely unremarkable in the past) impressed. Perfumed nose of dried flowers, savory notes, cranberries. Some funk dissipates with air. Still showing (surprisingly) med(-) grippy tannin. Medium cranberry/cherry finish. The nose excels. Yum.
