Sunday, October 20, 2013 - Medium garnet color. Nose of plum, dried cherry, a hint of forest floor and baking spice notes. Similar flavors on the palate with tart red fruit and a good amount of spice, including clove and a little black pepper. Slightly earthy on the back end and finish. Smooth mouthfeel and a spicy finish. This drinks like an old world pinot but still has that Cali fruit to it. Very nice.
