Friday, March 27, 2015 - At home with pizza, hanging out with Val and Krista. Drank after a Kistler Vine Hill Chard (09)
Splash decanted, drank over 3 hours. Medium ruby color, mild bricking at the edges. Dark cherry, plums, chocolate, sweet oak, cedar. Consistent with prior notes, there is a sweetness on the back mid palate from the tannins. Medium to long finish.
Better than last bottle, benefited from the air. Aged nicely, right in its zone
