Sunday, November 11, 2007 - Opened for 1 hour and decanted for another hour. Dark ruby, with some bricking. Vegetal, brussel sprout nose to start. With time, nose develops notes of pepper, cherry and a hint of pickle juice. Palate is more red fruit driven, with red currant, and some black pepper being the most obvious flavors. Soft and mouth coating, but lacking in tannin structure making it a bit flat on the finish. This has become somewhat elegant for an arguably young California cab, but I'm not sure I see much improvement from here on out. I would drink up if you have any.
