90 Points

Monday, March 30, 2015 - Importer tasting: According to the fact sheet the wine is made of 100% Serine (which is ancient Syrah) and not destemmed. The wine gets 20% new oak. The result is a classical wine with that typical Northern Rhone bouquet with minerals, leather and meaty impressions. Good garrigue and red and black berries and cherries as well. Good fresh acidity as well as a touch of sweetness, pleasant tannin. An elegant and beautiful wine. Early maturity now.

4/8/2015 10:43:00 PM - I am not familair with messages, yet! Is this where I am supposed to leave messages? I am heading to Italy mid May and will likely spend the last week in Verona and Trento, the first will be with a group, some wineries but mostly sights.

4/10/2015 4:22:00 PM - Hi Daniel, Messages can be made on the profile page and in the tasting note comments. It is a pity private messages are not implemented yet. It was in fact another CT user who asked me to do this in a tasting note comment, because that is a little more private, and I think that was a good idea, so that’s why I asked you to do it this way as well. I hope you will have a wonderful trip in May to Italy. It is a great country and the weather should be really pleasant then. Not too hot yet. It is a pity I live too far north in Europe for a quick visit and beside that I have to work these weeks. Enjoy the trip and plenty of good wines for sale there at fair prices ;-) Cheers, Z.
