Thursday, January 26, 2006 - This has a deep purple color. Currant, black licorice, and a strawberry jam on the nose. It was very silky on the palate. Had a nice conversation with a much more experienced wine-o about the balance between the fruitiness and the tannins. I personally felt it was too fruity and jammy without enough tannins to be truly balanced at this point. It has a nice, medium, spicy finish.
