Wednesday, February 27, 2013 - Very meaty and smoky on the nose with some reduced aromas blowing off shortly after opening. Lavendar, date and damson show as the primary fruit aromas while the palette yields plenty of acid and light tannins. The finish is medium length and gets a bit raiseny and smoky on the back end. This is from one of the cooler sites in SLH, but it lacks the structure to age much farther and gain interest in my opinion.
