Thursday, June 14, 2012 - Pale yellow color. Nose of grapefruit and grass. Entry on the palate is grapefruit and grassy, every bit the prototypical NZ SB. On the mid palate, there is lots of citrus, lemon peel and grapefruit. I would put this in the same category with Kim Crawford and Cloudy Bay; not bad company. But given those comparisons, price becomes a deciding factor.
With time in the glass (and temperature), kiwi fruit becomes more prominent. Doesn't change my evaluation.
