It always amazes me that a $10 device can do such a good job of preserving opened wine for a week or more. You can even use the Vacu-vin as a tool to see how a wine will age. Some of the funkier fringe notes dropped off this wine to reveal a more straight-forward Pinot with strawberry, black cherry, cassis, pie crust, nutmeg and mocha. Well balanced acidity and medium tannins on the medium+ finish. 90+
