Friday, February 28, 2014 - Aged in chestnut barrels and 6 months on the lees. Est 1850, 4000 cs, this is a custom cuvée for Kermit...old vines, unfined, unfiltered. A little honied in the aromas., a touch pasty. Winterberry aromas, and the palate has mineral framing. Smooth on the palate and not so rusticity textured.
Later that night, Red apple skin aromas. Cleaner and not as much of an odd ball as I've found this wine in the past. But still not for everyone.
