Monday, July 21, 2014 - {screwcap, 13.5%, A$23} Pale lemon-yellow with a flash of green. Modern, clean youthful nose; a touch of grilled nuts with underlying grapefruit. The palate is reasonably rich, with sandalwood oak and grapefruit flavours, along with stones and a hint of peach. Dry, only mildly oaky, but it doesn't great depth of flavour nor an especially long finish. About medium-bodied. Given the fairly unobtrusive acid, a bit of a chill helps, and I wouldn't be cellaring it long. But, a decent chardonnay, even if the price is perhaps a bit steep for what you get.
