Friday, July 29, 2011 - nose: the nose is completely jam packed with floral tones of violets, roses, all sorts of wild flowers, bits of tar, herbs, spice tones, berries and tones of dried cherries. Very complex and dazzling nose that just envelops the nose

taste: polished medium feel with medium+ acidity and fairly well resolved tannins with sexy tones of dried cherries, roses, tar, wild flowers and lots of berries. Waves of flavors and layers that are pure and very balanced

overall: this was a real stunner of a wine. The nose and palate were very balanced but also very deep. The wine was completely transcendent and just wrapped you up in the moment. This wine brought the haunting and beguiling tones that only nebbiolo can bring with age
